  • Passengers are not required to make their infants up to 2 year or 24 months to have their own dedicated seat instead they can sit on the lap while travelling on delta Airlines. However, they are required to inform the airline regarding travelling with infants.
  • As per the Delta Airlines Children and Infant Travel Policy, the airline does not charge anything for child with an age under 2 years or 24 months as long as he/she will be sitting on the lap of another passenger on domestic flights.
  • For international flights, Delta Airlines charges 10% of an adult fare plus taxes, even if the child under 2 years old is travelling on the lap of another passenger.
  • Passengers will have to purchase additional Delta tickets, if they are travelling with more than one lap child.
  • In the event if you have proper child restraint device, then you may have to purchase a ticket on Delta Airlines.
  • In the event, if the child is travelling for free, then Delta Airlines counts his/her baggage allowance as a part of the adult’s baggage allowance. However, child’s strollers and seat restraints aren’t counted as the standard baggage and can be checked for free on Delta Airlines.
